Oakmoss Botanicals: All That Jas and Wildcat (No 2)

Oakmoss Botanicals is an Etsy perfume shop run by Leasa Andersen out of Lexington KY. When trolling Etsy, I look for bottles that catch my eye and the presentation of the scents at Oakmoss was pretty eye-catching. There is a limited number of scents available, and I was lucky enough to get generous samples of All that Jas and Wildcat (No 2).  All that Jas is three kinds of jasmine, balsam and ylang yang in organic grape alcohol. This is a strong, indolic jasmine that reminds me a LOT of Serge Lutens A La Nuit. It is a femme fatale, out for the night, notice-me-as-I-walk-in-the-room jasmine. If you like A La Nuit, you will love this. It is much more a perfume than Wildcat, which is anchored in golden jojoba oil; I'm wary of oils because I think there is a tendency for the oil to carry its own scent which often obstructs the 'fume...Wildcat is much lighter than All that Jas. The jasmine is there but you also get the Chinese magnolia and yuzu (balsam and vanilla are in there too...I get just a little of the vanilla)...this is a nice, lighter floral jasmine and its not clear if I am detecting the vanilla or the oil....

Welcome To PerfumeMom Reviews: Intro and Oakmoss Botanicals

Hello! Inspired by Witchycoffeegal http://witchycoffeegal.blogspot.comon Youtube and Facebook, I have decided to start a Youtube channel and Blog called: PerfumeMom! I'm the mom of three, and I'm addicted to perfume: niche, classic, indie....

The houses I really love include: Chanel (Les Exclusifs); Parfums de Nicolai; Serge Lutens; Parfums D'Empire and more.

I'm also dedicated to promoting new artists, whether they are writers, painters or perfumers, so I often troll Etsy looking for new perfume shops. I remember, not so long ago, when Slumberhouse was on Etsy and can now be found at IndiePerfumes and and elsewhere!

In my first Youtube Intro, I show you a few of my more mainstream perfumes (Chanel, Montale, Serge Lutens) and give a brief (very brief) review of new Etsy house Oakmoss Botanicals.

Take a look and let me know what you think!
